Friday Burger Company is about Chef Joe Friday’s love of Burgers. It is the culmination of his life learnings, combined with thoughtfully sourced, high quality ingredients.

Chef Joe Friday is trained in French cuisine and has cooked all over the world, but despite all this, his favourite meal remains the humble burger. Joe’s passion for burgers started when he was working at a successful burger chain in North Carolina, and has always wanted to do something with his favorite meal. In 2019, he opened Friday Roots, which was a return to his North Carolina southern roots. The menu included many of Joe’s treasured family recipes, highlighted by the Friday Burger, which was rated amongst the top 10 burgers in Toronto bars by Blogto. Although Friday Roots closed during the COVID19 pandemic, this gave Joe time to focus on burgers. Chef Joe Friday has taken his lifelong learnings, and has dedicated the last five years on planning, preparing, sourcing and building Friday Burger Company.
Our burger suppliers have been carefully curated to meet our quality requirements. From the specific Dry-Aged AAA short rib & chuck beef blend, to the house-made pickles, to the crispy greenleaf lettuce, we’ve tried and tested hundreds of burgers before preparing ours. Our burger’s are done in a California smash patty style with our special Friday sauce, and our chicken sandwiches are crispy buttermilk; southern style. We are so excited to share it with you!
